Just plain and simple, I wanna finish knife veteran challenges before ptestiging to get the emblem. So far, I’ve only been playing ground war and demolition(most xp) and I’d like to know what game mode is best for racking up a good amount of knife kills. And a map would be good. Oh and if you have a good class for this, feel free to share. Thanks. Well, I have your answer right here. If you want to max your knife kills you don’t necessarily need to play for a specific map but rather you need to think about your playing style and definately which type of game your playing. Essentially you want to join a game where the opponents won’t necessarily be paying attention to whose running behind them, but more about something/some objective they are focusing on, and you want to play in such a way that you roam the map unnoticed, taking out people tactically and probably from behind. Normally I don’t recommend playing like this (as it’s not fair to everyone else on the team) but play in objective levels with few objectives such as demolition, sabotage or headquarters pro. The reason for this is that depending on which type of opponents you play, you will most likely have about 60-80% of the players focussing on the objective. You will always be able to see the objective on the minimap and so you know where they are focussing on. You are then able to use this to your advantage by navigating around the perhymeter of the map, scoping out the enemy whilst trying to work your way to the back of their “base” (i. E. Where they are spawning from). If you have Lightweight and Marathon this shouldn’t take a lot of time (note: try not to rush this, as if you do it correctly you will get there unnoticed, but if 1 person sees you, he could blow your cover entirely). Once you have entered the enemy spawn, start working your way through the enemy preferably from the back, so no one sees you take out their team mate. Bear in mind you won’t have a lot of time to take out enemies near to each other as they will see their team mate(s) disappear from the map (if they’re not too focused on the objective). Also try not to run in straight lines all the time, but meander around corners and places where anyone who sees you, won’t have you in their line of sight for too long and try to keep your eyes peeled for anyone who sees you and keep away from them atleast till they forget where you were. There are no maps that are really bad for this technique, but I would only suggest maps you really know well, as one of the techniques is to know how to escape from tight situations. The key to getting max knife kills is to stay alive and take out anyone who sees you. The way you do this is not to outrun them and their bullets, as you will never see everyone and will probably die from a lot of flankers. The best way to do this is to scope the enemy, look at who sees you and know how to get to them from another angle or to make them chase you. These 2 methods are key. If you know a map well enough, rather than running at the enemy and dying 5/10 times, take cover or run around a corner and take them from another angle they aren’t really looking at. About 7/10 times if an enemy sees you running away from them, they will hesitantly chase you, if not confronted by someone else, so use this to your advantage; run around a corner, wait a small amount of time and use your speed to surprise them right at the corner and knife them. Finally, there are 2 things to consider in your class selection. 1 is that if you want to infiltrate an enemy spawn, the worst thing to do is to go in making a huge racket and running in plain sight, you want stealth, so you need patience when running (as impatience and constant running will get you seen and thus killed), you need clear vision, so run for a bit, freeze your motion for 2 seconds scoping out the area and then run again and you also need silent footsteps so groups of enemies dont hear you run behind them, so you should aim to use ninja pro. I know most people who question this and say commando is the obvious choice, but a larger kill reach is no good if the enemy hears you running metres away, and silent footsteps is more likely to get a chain of kills where an enemy groups together but doesn’t hear you coming. The second point is that though SMGs allow you full mobility when running, they are not going to be used when you are kniving with a handgun (as the hand guns are the only weapons with swift action kinving, but you have to unlock the tactical knives – essential for high kniving kill classes). SMGs are therefore not helpful, but one thing that is, is knowing where the enemy is, and a heartbeat sensor attachment on any weapon is useful for that. Especially if you plan on waiting for enemies around the corner, you can time your charges at them, or just in general know where your enemies are and use you combination of speed and silent footsteps to gain a surprise advantage over them. For this I would recommend a high damage gun, just incase you get in a sticky situation and you need to shoot (bear in mind, its not worth getting killed just to keep your knife out, don’t think that the less you shoot the more knife kills you get, it will actually be the more your alive the more knife kills you get, so don’t be afraid of shooting if you get stuck or are surprised by an enemy).
Domination on Scrapeyard. Ground war is better on Scrapeyard though because Ground War has more players.
I frequently knife, and I’ll help you get all last knife kill you need as quickly as possible. First have your class. If you have one skip this step.
The essentials VVV
P90 Red Dot Sight
Any pistol (preferably with a tac knife)
Marathon
Lightweight
Commando
Painkiller
Next only do it on good knifing maps. Favela, Crash, Invasion, Karachi, Storm, and Derail (surprisingly), etc. Finally the best match types are mostly domination where you can kill to your hearts content without the match ending.
domination works the best for knife kills
the class that works the best for me is the default one with the magnum and the tactical knife attached because it speeds up the mele
hope that helped.
From my experience with knifing only I tend to win on Free For All and get a good k/d on ground war.
Use either a USP-45 or a M9 to make you run faster since they are light guns and have use marathon, lightweight and commando/ninja. Also use throwing knife so if a enemy see’s you running towards him/her you can throw it at them before they shoot you which happens quite often.
Good Luck !
I would suggest Domination, on Skidrow, I get over 50 kills everytime on that level with a shotgun, so you stick commando on and you got the same range as a shotgun, thats how f**ked up the game is.
Domination on Highrise hands down. .
You can just take the lower path into their base and trap them there while raping their spawn.
Ground war can be a pain, because of there being so many people. I would reccomend demolition or domination, and use the perks marathon, lightweight commando/ninja. Also, don’t use a tac. knife because it decreases your range a little. And another last tip, use a semtex as your equipment. Even if you don’t use it, you can knife, then quickly press R1 for PS3 or RB for XBox, then press triangle for PS3, or Y for XBox, then have your knife out in half the time.
Im really annoying in sub base favela scrapyard and rundown Tdm ground war
Tac knife or just a pistol
Marathon
Lightweight
Ninja
PRO
Semtex stuns matyrdom
